Dr. Lauren Weber
Cleveland Clinic trained WOMEN’S HEALTH SPECIALIST AND DIRECT PRIMARY CARE FOR WOMEN
MEMBERSHIP BASED PRACTICE
Dr. Weber is a board certified Family Physician and fellowship trained in women’s health.
Due to COVID-19 Weber Medical services are currently available by e-mail, text, phone, house-calls, & telemedicine.
My mission is to help educate and create healthier habits in women, encourage improvement in life choices and create space to take the time needed to assist you on this path.
Patient-centered care is the purpose of my practice by placing the relationship between you, the patient and me, the physician.
Through my Direct Primary Care practice, I will be able to spend the necessary time to connect with patients on a personalized and respectful level to help you meet and even surpass your health-life goals. My desire is to have you live your best and healthiest life.
Committed to making medicine more personalized placing the doctor—patient relationship back in our own hands.
Direct Access
Personalized Care
Price transparency
No more dealing with insurance companies to see if your doctor is in network
What is Direct Primary Care? DPC
DPC is a membership-based practice, (meaning you pay regardless of use) alternative to the fee-for service, insurance-based primary care model. DPC removes the barriers the insurance companies and the government place on physicians. By eliminating these hurdles, it will free up time physicians can spend with their patients. This will place the care directly one-on-one for better patient-physician relationships. Imagine being able to text with your doctor, sign up, and this will be possible!
DPC is great for patients that have a high-deductible, desire easier access to their doctor, prefer longer and more thorough visits with their doctor, and for those that dislike waiting to be seen. I will not double book patients.
Not sure if DPC is the right fit? Prior to joining, have a free meet-and-greet either over the phone or via telemedicine to see if you think Dr. Weber and DPC are the right fit for you.
Benefits of DPC:
Affordable healthcare!
You get to choose your doctor!
Your medical records will not be shared with anyone except when you want them to be shared.
Longer appointments and less time waiting to be seen.
Communication with me will be easier via direct contact through text messaging, e-mail, and phone calls.
Due to not having to deal with the constraints of insurance companies, it can also potentially alleviate the need to be seen in person as some things can be taken care of without a visit.
Meet Dr. Weber
I grew up in New Jersey and received a B.S. in nutrition from Rutgers University. I completed my medical school training in 2007 at the Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine.
I did my initial post-graduate training in Emergency Medicine at St. Barnabas Hospital. While I ultimately changed direction in my training so that I could develop strong and long-lasting relationships with my patients, I am thankful for the added layer of knowledge my emergency training gave me. It has deepened and improved my ability to care for patients now.
I am board certified in Family Medicine, completed in 2011 at Broward General Medical Center. I am fellowship trained in Women’s Health from the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, completed in 2013. I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to receive such excellent preparation in three disciplines.
I began my Women’s Health career in 2013 in the San Francisco Bay Area and worked there for 4.5 years before returning to New York City. My sole focus is providing quality primary care for women and exclusively treating female patients. I am also certified by the North American Menopause Society (NAMS).
My practice is purposely limited to a small number of patients so that I can provide the attention needed for meticulous care.
I have an affinity for healthy living and love to convey what I know to my patients to help them achieve a healthier lifestyle through nutritional and exercise guidance as an adjunct to excellent medical care. I believe it is vital to educate patients so they can make informed decisions for living their life to the fullest.
Some of my hobbies include exercise, creating nutritious and delicious food, and making homemade beauty products. I am happy to share recipes with you! It is amazing how well people feel when they eat nutritious foods.
Dr. Weber recently partnered up and started an in-home COVID-19 testing service that is available in Northern New Jersey, introducing City Swabs! Please go to CitySwabs.com for more information.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I join?
Simply by filling out this form – ENROLL NOW
Can I be seen without a membership?
Yes, the visit will cost $300 (which is the typical cost of an office visit if you do not have insurance). A telemedicine appointment will cost $175. If you decide to join, the visit cost will be rolled into the cost of the membership, so long as you join within six (6) months of that initial visit.
Do I need to be seen?
It is recommended that you have at minimum one physical per year, which is included in the membership cost.
Do I need to pay up front?
Do you accept insurance?
No, I do not accept any form of insurance. It is your responsibility to understand your health insurance coverage. If you have out-of-network benefits, you may ask for a bill for your visit that you can submit to your insurance company directly. The practice will not submit any paperwork to your insurance company & the practice is not a substitute for health insurance. If you require any treatment outside of the practice — blood work, radiology tests, medications or supplies, hospitalizations, emergency room visits, and specialists – your insurance may cover said treatment and the practice recommends that you reach out to your insurance to determine what coverage you have prior to receiving any treatment.
What if I have Medicare?
No problem! However, I have opted-out of Medicare which means the services I provide cannot be billed to Medicare – either by Weber Medical OR by you. You will be required to sign a statement acknowledging that neither you nor I will submit bills for services rendered at the practice to Medicare. You can still use your Medicare insurance to cover medications, labs, imaging, specialty care, etc.
What if I am on Vacation?
The benefits of membership is that you can contact the office where ever you are via email, text, or phone call.

Who can join?
Any woman, starting at eighteen years old.
Can I be a member if I do not have insurance?
Yes! However, the practice encourages you to have medical insurance as Direct Primary Care (DPC) and Weber Medical are not a health insurance plan.
What is my membership commitment?
There is no commitment beyond the initial six months. This way, we are both given a fair amount of time to see if the practice will work for you. Any pre-paid membership fees will be pro-rated and returned to you if you elect not to continue your membership passed the six months. However, your registration fee is non-refundable. Should you decide to continue membership after the initial term, it will be a yearly commitment. If you cancel your membership and want to re-enroll, it will be considered on a case-by-case basis, if space allows, and subject to an additional fee.
Why am I being charged for a visit?
If you are being seen in the office for anything other than your annual exam or preventative visit or follow-up, New York State requires a fee for the visit, which will be $30.
Why would I pay for a membership if I have health insurance?
Due to the state of our broken healthcare system, health insurance companies dictate how much time doctors have with their patients, by making it necessary for doctors to see 22-28 patients in a day. In a traditional practice, it is unfortunately normal for patients and doctors to feel rushed and not have enough time in the appointment, which is typically 7-15 minutes. This is not enough time to take a detailed history and perform a thorough exam. This is due to the demand the insurance companies place on physicians. With a membership, your appointment is tailored to your individual needs and may be extended to be certain you are cared for and that all of your concerns for that appointment be addressed properly. Health insurance is still needed for medications, labs, blood work, imaging, specialists, hospitalizations etc.
Having a Weber Medical Membership, you will not only have more time with your doctor, you will spend less time waiting in the waiting room and have easier access to your doctor, via text messaging, telemedicine, email, or a phone call.
Can I use my HSA or FSA?
Unfortunately, at the current time, the IRS has not acknowledged clearly whether a DPC is a healthcare service (and not a form of insurance), which has made it difficult when it comes to utilizing HSA/FSA funds to cover your DPC memberships. That being said, the practice can provide you with a super bill that you can submit directly for reimbursement.
How do I contact Dr. Weber?
Once you are an enrolled member, you can contact the practice via email, text, phone call, &/or video chat, which will be provided upon membership. Prior to membership via email, phone, or the contact us form below.

If you need to be seen outside of the normal scheduled office hours, this will be evaluated, on a case-by-case basis. If required, home visits may be an option, at the sole discretion of the practice, for an additional fee of $300, paid before or at the time of the visit.
Any appointment that is rescheduled less than 24 hours in advance or missed will incur a $50 charge.
